Derry City favourites for eircom League cup

Derry City can claim the first piece of a domestic treble tonight when they face UCD in the eircom League Cup final at Belfield Park.

City are the overwhelming favourites to claim the victory despite being the away side as they look to claim their first piece of silverware since 2002.

With the added incentive of a place in next year's lucrative Setanta Cup, the victory will be all the sweeter and UCD will certainly not be at Belfield just to make up the numbers.

UCD have been this season's Cup specialists and will hope to continue their run, especially with star striker Robbie Martin expected for return from an ankle injury that has ruled him out for the last three weeks.

Derry, who are also still in the FAI Cup and joint-top of the League, have two injury worries with Sean Hargan (foot) and Killian Brennan (knee) both facing late fitness tests.
