Fulham v West Ham
West Ham boss Alan Pardew opted to rest former England striker Teddy Sheringham for today’s London derby against Fulham.
Sheringham, 39, was named on the bench with Bobby Zamora taking his place alongside in-form Marlon Harewood, who fired a hat-trick in Monday night’s 4-0 triumph over Aston Villa.
Jeremie Aliadiere overcame his groin problem in time to win a place among the substitutes while Clive Clarke missed out once again with a hamstring niggle.
Fulham boss Chris Coleman, hoping to build on the club’s encouraging recent run of four points from two games, fielded an unchanged team for the third match in succession.
France defender Phillippe Christanval, who is short on match fitness since moving to Craven Cottage on a free transfer last week, was named on the bench once again.
