The eircom League Board of Control has decided to fine Bohemians €3,000 and Shamrock Rovers a total of €2,000 after considering the report of the Investigations Committee.

The eircom League Board of Control has decided to fine Bohemians €3,000 and Shamrock Rovers a total of €2,000 after considering the report of the Investigations Committee.

The Investigations Committee looked into a number of incidents relating to clashes between Bohemians and Shelbourne at Dalymount Park, Shamrock Rovers and Bohemians at Dalymount Park and Shelbourne and Shamrock Rovers at Tolka Park.

However, as the matter is sub judice, it did not investigate the alleged altercation between Shelbourne CEO Ollie Byrne and Shamrock Rovers’ manager Roddy Collins.

The League’s Board of Control fined Bohemians €3,000 for their protest and use of flares during their clash with Shelbourne, and fined Rovers €1,000 for the pitch invasion against Bohemians and the pitch invasion and offensive banners on show during their clash with Shelbourne.

The League is also to implement the recommendations of the Investigative Committee which means a Code of Conduct will be compiled while extra stewarding will be place for games deemed to be a higher safety risk.
