Michael Owen admitted he has more to prove in England than in Spain following his move from Real Madrid but insists he still deserves his likely recall against Northern Ireland tomorrow.

Owen, who was suspended for the weekend World Cup qualifier against Wales, is expected to replace Shaun Wright-Phillips or Joe Cole for tomorrow’s game in Belfast.
