Northern Ireland striker David Healy looks likely to be fit to face England for Wednesday’s World Cup qualifier at Windsor Park – despite sitting out part of a training session.

The 26-year-old Leeds player rested up as a precaution so as not to aggravate a slight strain which caused him to come off with 11 minutes to go in the victory against Azerbaijan at the weekend.

Assistant manager Gerry Armstrong said: “With two days to go to the game there was no point in taking risks with David.”
