Wales expect Everton’s Simon Davies to be fit to face England in Cardiff tomorrow after nursing him through the week to overcome his shin splints problem.

Coventry’s Richard Duffy is expected to win only his second full cap at right back, with Swansea’s 23-year-old full back Sam Ricketts claiming his fifth cap at left back.

Boss John Toshack is likely to retain his five-man defence, which will include Bristol City’s David Partridge, who will win his fourth cap.

Elsewhere in the side experienced defender Robert Page plays his 40th international while Ryan Giggs is on 51 caps and John Hartson now 47.
