Pardew seethes after McCarthy snub

West Ham boss Alan Pardew today voiced his anger at the failure to sign Porto striker Benni McCarthy – and reassured fans there would be new signings in January.

McCarthy was eager to join the Hammers on a three-year deal and the prospects of his arrival at Upton Park improved when the Barclays Premiership outfit tabled a club record offer of €9m.
