City with one-in-five chance of Everton clash

Cork City are unseeded in this afternoon's UEFA Cup first round draw. They have been placed in Group 1 of eight 10-team pots and have a one-in-five chance of facing English Premiership side Everton.

Also on the seeded side of the draw are French Cup winners Auxerre, PAOK (Greece), league runners-up in the Czech Republic Slavia Prague, and German Bundesliga outfit SV Hamburg.

Cork are the lowest-ranked of the five unseeded teams in Group One, alongside Levksi Sofia of Bulgaria, FC Copenhagen (Denmark), Dinamo Bucharest (Romania) and Ukrainian side Metalurh Donetsk.
