Onuoha could return for Man City

Teenage centre-half Nedum Onuoha could be in line for a Manchester City recall for tomorrow’s encounter with Portsmouth at Eastlands.

Onuoha has yet to start so far this term despite recovering from a pre-season hamstring injury but with manager Stuart Pearce not entirely happy with his side’s defending at Sunderland on Tuesday, the Nigerian-born player could replace Stephen Jordan.

Skipper Sylvain Distin (groin) and striker Robbie Fowler (back) are still sidelined as City look to extend their unbeaten run to 12.
