Addicks wait on Holland fitness
Charlton will assess the fitness of captain Matt Holland ahead of tomorrow’s Barclays Premiership clash with Wigan at The Valley.
The midfielder who suffered suspected concussion will be given every chance to recover.
Darren Ambrose, however, will start a three-match ban following his sending off against Sunderland last weekend, while centre-back GonzaloSorondo is also again suspended.
Jerome Thomas is expected to take Ambrose’s place on the left of midfield. Defender Talal El Karkouri (knee) is back in training, but will not feature in the squad tomorrow, while on-loan Manchester United defender Jonathan Spector (hamstring) is another doubt.
Jason Euell (shoulder), goalkeeper Dean Kiely (finger) and Kevin Lisbie (nose) remain out.
Provisional squad: Anderson, Young, Powell, Hreidarsson, Perry, Thomas, Kishishev, Murphy, Smertin, Rommedahl, Bent, Holland, Hughes, Bartlett, Jeffers, Fortune, Johansson, Sam, Spector, Myhre.
