Spurs striker Robbie Keane has withdrawn from the Ireland squad for this Wednesday's friendly game against Italy with an ankle injury.

Spurs striker Robbie Keane has withdrawn from the Ireland squad for this Wednesday's friendly game against Italy with an ankle injury.

The player picked up the knock in training on Friday and was forced to sit out his club's 2-0 win over Portsmouth in the Premiership the following day.
