Darragh Maguire put through his own goal to gift Derry a late point.

Saints defender Maguire got the last touch to a Mark Farren effort with five minutes remainding.

A flowing move had deservedly put Saints in front on 34 minutes. Robbie Doyle and Ian Maher worked the ball to new signing Chris Armstrong and the big striker opened his account with a thumping shot past David Forde.
