Foley ditches Bohs
Bohemians were stunned by the shock departure of Dominic Foley due to a contract dispute.
Foley, 29, had grown disillusioned at Bohemians as he waited on a large lump sum that he was due since last November and, after repeated attempts to get the money, he handed in his two weeks notice that he would leave the club a fortnight ago.
The former Republic of Ireland striker is now free to move to any other club, unless Bohemians appeal against his decision to a FAI Independent Tribunal, though as the transfer window has shut in the eircom League, he may have to move abroad.
Bohemians, who issued a statement accepting responsibility for failing to honour his contract correctly, still hope the issue can be resolved.
