Farren takes plaudits for July

Derry City striker Mark Farren is the eircom/Soccer Writers Association of Ireland Player of the Month for July.

Farren, aged 20, was sensational during the month scoring five goals in as many games. Derry won every game in July on their way to making it six League victories on the trot – their best winning run since winning the League in 1997.
