Arsenal on Song

Arsenal are set to conclude a deal for Bastia’s Cameroon-born teenager Alexandre Song, the Corsican club have confirmed.

Song, an 18-year-old who can play in defence or midfield, is in London with Bastia directors where a deal is expected to be concluded later in the day.

Bastia spokesman Pierre Carlotti told PA Sport: “He (Song) is in London with the directors and he is in the process of sealing the deal.

“It will be a loan deal with an option to buy.”
