No go for Coco
Inter Milan defender Francesco Coco’s proposed loan move to Newcastle has broken down after the clubs failed to agree terms.
The 28-year-old Italian, who played in Saturday’s friendly victory over Yeading, was expected to join the Magpies on a temporary basis with a view to a permanent transfer, but is returning to Italy after being withdrawn from the squad for last night’s game against Bray Wanderers.
“We have been unable to agree to the final conditions of the player’s loan move from Inter Milan to Newcastle United and he will be returning to Milan shortly,” said a statement issued through the club's official website
