Liverpool defender Djimi Traore has been ruled out for a month because of a thigh strain.
It means he will miss this week’s Champions League qualifier against CSKA Sofia as well as the opening match of the Barclays Premiership season at Middlesbrough.
Traore, 25, has struggled to get back to full fitness after suffering the injury in a friendly against Bayer Leverkusen.
