Plucky Waterford dented Cork's title charge with a smash and grab point at Turner’s Cross.

Cork took the game to Blues and finally broke them down to take a 35th minute lead.

Neale Horgan got forward to cross and Liam Kearney turned well to shoot home.

But Blues hit back to level in the last minute of the first half. Colm Heffernan sent over a free-kick and David Mulcahy’s shot deflected past Mark McNulty off George O’Callaghan.
