Late goal saves Derry's blushes

Out of sorts Derry scored late in each half to snatch a point they scarcely deserved.

Bray turned the table on its head to dominate the first half and made the breakthrough on 35 minutes when Eamon Zayed carved the Derry defence open to cross for Romanian strike partner Andrei Georgescu to finish.

But Derry were level in first half stoppage time when in-form Ciaran Martyn latched onto a flick through from midfield to beat Chris O’Connor from the edge of the area for his sixth goal in as many games.

Colm Tresson forced the ball home to restore Bray's lead on 82 minutes, but Brian McGovern deflected a corner into his own net three minutes into stoppage time to salvage Derry’s point.
