United youngsters seal Hong Kong win

Young guns Giuseppe Rossi and Dong Fangzhou combined to spare Manchester United’s blushes in Hong Kong.

After the best efforts of Ruud van Nistelrooy, Wayne Rooney and Louis Saha had failed to prize open the home defence, Rossi popped up midway through the second period to finish off a Ryan Giggs cross.

Then, five minutes later, Chinese import Dong Fangzhou doubled the lead with an outstanding finish to bring roars of approval from an enthusiastic crowd.
