Martyn brace helps Derry past UCD

Ciaran Martyn scored twice as Derry maintained their remarkably good season at the Brandywell tonight.

Mark Farren ended UCD’s resistance with the lead goal on 29 minutes, punishing hesitancy by Mick O’Donnell to shoot past Darren Quigley.

Ex-Student Martyn killed off College within a minute of the restart with a looping header from Gareth McGlynn’s cross before adding the third three minutes from time.
