High-flying Cork will also be boosted by the return of Mark McNulty from a leg injury in goal meaning 41-year-old Phil Harrington will make way, though Roy O’Donovan is ruled out through suspension.

Shamrock Rovers will be without Trevor Molloy and Willo McDonagh (both suspended) and Jason Gavin (foot) while Jason McGuinness (ankle) and Gavin McDonnell (knee) are doubtful.

Brian Shelley has joined the club and is added to the squad, while Marc Kenny could also be registered in time to play.
