City investigate Barton incident

Manchester City midfielder Joey Barton faces being sent home from the club’s pre-season tour to Thailand in disgrace after becoming involved in an altercation with a 15-year-old Everton fan at the team’s hotel.

The incident happened in the bar at the Bangkok hotel where the team are staying during the FA Premier League Asia Trophy and occurred in the early hours of Friday morning after the City players returned from spending the evening at a Thai restaurant.
