Chelsea close in on Wright-Phillips

Shaun Wright-Phillips looks certain to become a Chelsea player by the end of the day.

Talks between the Premiership champions and Manchester City have begun aimed at agreeing a fee for the winger, who pleaded for the opportunity to speak to Chelsea yesterday afternoon after dramatically pulling out of his club's friendly at Macclesfield.
