City bid to stretch lead
Drogheda United will hope to repeat their success at Turner’s Cross earlier this season when they meet Cork City once more this afternoon at United Park.
Drogheda remain the only side to have beaten Cork in the League and, after an indifferent spell, they will hope to get back to winning ways against the League leaders.
However, Shane Robinson remains on the sidelines with a broken foot while Pat Sullivan (groin) is also ruled out.
Cork, meanwhile, must, once again, play 41-year-old goalkeeper coach Phil Harrington in goal.
With first choice stopper Michael Devine (shoulder) and reserve goalkeeper Mark McNulty (groin) both ruled out, Harrington will start in goal after playing for 76 minutes in Thursday’s UEFA Cup win over Lithuanians Ekranes.
But returning from injury is Colin O’Brien while Neale Fenn is also back in the squad after missing Thursday’s win as he was about to become a father.
