Juve 'on verge' ov Vieira deal

Juventus expect to sign Arsenal captain Patrick Vieira this afternoon, one of the club’s key officials today confirmed.

Juve general director Luciano Moggi told PA International: “We are on the verge of signing him, the deal should be completed this afternoon.”

The Bianconeri have ruled out a move for Vieira’s Arsenal team-mate Robert Pires, however.

Moggi added: “We are not interested in Pires.”
