Figo future 'up in the air'
Real Madrid vice-president Emilio Butragueno admits Luis Figo’s future is still “up in the air”.
Liverpool have been considering a move for the Portuguese international, who has one year left on his contract with the Spanish giants, while Inter Milan have also joined the race to sign the 32-year-old.
Figo is keen to leave but it is thought Liverpool are unwilling to meet Madrid’s valuation of the player.
“It’s a situation that is up in the air,” Butragueno told Real’s official website.
“Luis is an extraordinary professional and we have a very good relationship with him. He didn’t play much last season but he is a winner, he wants to play. We hope that we reach an agreement that satisfies both sides.”
