Ward not for sale: Bohs

Bohemians have warned interested clubs that teenage winger Stephen Ward is not for sale.

Nineteen-year-old Ward has burst onto the eircom League scene over the last two seasons attracting plenty of interest from England and Scotland with Sunderland and Hearts leading the chase.

Ward has twice travelled to Sunderland on trial while Hearts continue to monitor the Dubliner’s progress though Bohemians’ player-manager Gareth Farrelly has insisted he will do everything he can to keep the winger at Dalymount Park.

“Stephen is an important member of our team and key part of our future plans,” said Farrelly. “As far as Bohemians are concerned we won’t be selling Stephen.”
