Blues nab Nafti on new deal

Birmingham have completed the transfer of Racing Santander midfielder Mehdi Nafti for an undisclosed fee.

The 26-year-old Tunisia international, who was on loan at St Andrews during the second half of last season, has signed a three-year deal.

Having recently played in the Confederations Cup in Germany, Nafti will be given an extension to his summer leave and will not report back for training on July 6.

Nafti is manager Steve Bruce’s second signing of the summer following the capture of Finland striker Mikael Forssell from Chelsea.
