Kezman keen on Atletico move

Mateja Kezman’s agent claims the Chelsea striker could become an Atletico Madrid player within the next seven days.

The 26-year-old forward, who joined Chelsea last summer, wants to leave the Premiership champions because he is frustrated with a lack of first-team opportunities.

The Serbo-Montenegrin’s agent, Vlado Lemeic, says the former PSV Eindhoven frontman is keen to join Atletico and expects a final decision to be made shortly.

“Atletico are one of the big clubs in Spain, although they have not had good results recently,” said Lemeic.

“The most important thing now is for the two clubs to come to an agreement about a fee.

“I don’t think that Kezman’s signing for Atletico is going to be a long-term question. I think that next week we are going to have a definitive ’yes’ or ’no’.”
