Andrade eyeing Premiership switch
Portugal defender Jorge Andrade claims he has received an approach from Newcastle – although he would prefer to move to Manchester United.
The 27-year-old Deportivo la Coruna centre-half says he would relish the chance to play in the Barclays Premiership.
He told the Daily Star: “I have a proposition from Newcastle via my club but my preferred English club is Manchester United.
“To that club I would go with my eyes closed because it represents everything a player dreams about.
“To play for a legend like Sir Alex Ferguson must be something special.
“English football is famous for being hard but I have played against several clubs and the England team and always I have left alive and played well.”
