Kezman coy over Atletico link
Chelsea striker Mateja Kezman has reacted cautiously to reports that he could sign for Spanish club Atletico Madrid this summer.
Atleticoâs director of sport Toni Munoz has admitted that he is interested in securing the services of the Dutch forward, who has struggled to hold down a first team place at Stamford Bridge since joining from PSV Eindhoven last summer.
Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho favoured Didier Drogba and Eidur Gudjohnsen up front as Chelsea stormed to the Premiership title.
However although Kezman admitted that he has heard of interest from other clubs, he was not prepared to say whether he would be tempted by a move to the Spanish capital.
âIt is true that people are calling me to ask about my future,â Kezman told Marca.
âI donât have much to say about it, but I would like them (Chelsea) to tell me what plans they have for me if they know what they want to do.
âWhen I was with PSV Eindhoven, I had some great seasons and scored a lot of goals.
âI showed what I am worth and I want to carry on showing that wherever I am. What I want to do is play, but the coach (Mourinho) has to decide that.â
