The eircom League today announced the eircom League Board of Control has appointed a sub-committee to investigate the bust-up between Shelbourne supremo Ollie Byrne and Shamrock Rovers boss Roddy Collins.

The eircom League today announced the eircom League Board of Control has appointed a sub-committee to investigate the bust-up between Shelbourne supremo Ollie Byrne and Shamrock Rovers boss Roddy Collins.

The sub-committee will also look at incidents at other recent Premier Division fixtures including Bohemians and Shelbourne at Dalymount Park on Friday May 27; Shamrock Rovers and Bohs at Dalymount Park on Friday June 3.

The committee is to be chaired by former FAI Honorary Secretary and UEFA Vice-President Des Casey and will also comprise eircom League chairman Paddy McCaul and eircom League Treasurer Eamon Naughton.

The committee will report to the Board of Control in the coming weeks.
