Parma survive

Parma overturned a 1-0 deficit in the relegation play-off second leg with a pair of goals to send Bologna crashing into Serie B today.

Giuseppe Cardone struck in the 16th minute at the Renato Dall’Ara stadium to give the travelling side hope and then Italian international striker Alberto Gilardino, who had been suspended in the first leg, added the second in first-half stoppage time.
