Celtic defender Joos Valgaeren has moved back to his homeland.

Valgaeren has joined Belgian champions Club Brugge as a replacement for David Rozehnal, who has moved to Paris Saint Germain.

The 29-year-old has signed a three-year contract, arriving as a free agent following an injury-hit final season in Glasgow.

The former Mechelen and Roda JC man was a Martin O’Neill signing, joining in the summer of 2000.

He won three Scottish Premier League titles and four Scottish Cups and has been capped 19 times by Belgium.

Meanwhile, Wisla Krakow striker Maciej Zurawski has been linked with a switch to the Hoops.

The 28-year-old Poland international is also interesting Trabzonspor and Austria Vienna.

But Wisla president Janusz Basalaj has revealed that initial talks have been held with the Glasgow club.
