Valencia medical chief Rafael Llombert is to travel to Holland to see the results of an examination of Patrick Kluivert’s knee and decide whether he is in a fit state to sign for the club.

Valencia medical chief Rafael Llombert is to travel to Holland to see the results of an examination of Patrick Kluivert’s knee and decide whether he is in a fit state to sign for the club.

A deal has been agreed between Valencia and Kluivert who spent last season with Newcastle but major concerns arose after the 28-year-old Dutch international underwent a routine medical.

“I hope that the situation resolves itself satisfactorily. He had a small operation and now is recovering from this. At the moment the vibes are positive,” said Llombert.
