Adriano insists he will stay with Inter
Internazionale striker Adriano has rubbished suggestions he could leave the Serie A giants this summer after being linked with Chelsea.
The Brazilian has been strongly linked with a move to the Premiership champions Chelsea for several months, and he revealed the London club and Real Madrid had both been in touch with his agent.
However, earlier this week club owner Massimo Moratti revealed he had not yet received a suitable offer for the man who scored 16 goals in Serie A last season, and Adriano has now declared he wants to spearhead Interâs assault on the domestic title and the Champions League next season.
âReal Madrid and Chelsea wanted to speak to me and find out if I was interested in joining them. I said to my agent Gilmar: 'I do not want to speak to them and I donât want to break any contact.'
âI never said: 'If I donât win anything with Inter I will ask to leave the club,'â Adriano told www.gazzetta.it.
âI want to stay at Inter for as long as I can. Iâm happy in Milan. Here there are so many people who care about me.â
Adriano did however admit he could be tempted to look elsewhere if Inter fail to pick up any silverware next season, but his motivation will not be money.
âI believe money is not everything in my life and to be honest Iâm not interested in money,â he added.
âI believe a football player will not be satisfied until he wins some trophies.
âCertainly if next year we do not win anything, Inter must understand my desire to look at somebody else.â
