Shels to press ahead with stadium plans

Shelbourne got the green light yesterday to press ahead with plans to build a new stadium in Swords after Fingal County Council rezoned the land in the area for the development of a stadium.

The eircom League champions hope to move from Tolka Park to the purpose-built, 6,000-capacity stadium in the coming years. It is also planned to have land available there to accommodate the schoolboy section of the club.
