Liverpool force extra-time
AC Milan 3 Liverpool 3
Liverpool forced the 50th European Cup Final into extra-time after a sensational comeback from 3-0 down at half-time.
Paolo Maldini and a double from Hernan Crespo put Milan in control, before Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez carried out a major reshuffle of his side at the break.
It worked, as Liverpool hit back with three goals in an amazing six-minute spell.
Steven Gerrard started the revival, Vladimir Smicer drove home the second goal before Xabi Alonso smashed home the equaliser with a rebound after his penalty had been saved.
