Le Saux retires
Former England left-back Graeme Le Saux has announced his retirement from the game.
The 36-year-old was part of the Southampton side relegated from the Barclays Premiership earlier this month but has now decided to hang up his boots.
Le Saux, who won 36 caps for England, said: “I decided at the beginning of the season that this would probably be my last.
“I would much rather have retired seeing Southampton stay in the Premiership, but it was just not meant to be. Having constant and intensive treatment ahead of every game, my body knows how hard I’ve tried this season.”
