Magnier stays silent on United share sale reports

Irish racing tycoon John Magnier wouldn't be drawn on reports he has sold his interest in Manchester United at York races today.

When asked to comment, he replied: “Whatever they say, they say. I’m not going to comment on it, I want to talk about horses.”

Magnier and JP McManus are believed to have agreed to sell their investment share in the club to Malcolm Glazer.
