Henry still missing for Gunners

Arsenal were without Thierry Henry and Freddie Ljungberg for their clash against Liverpool at Highbury.

Arsenal were without Thierry Henry and Freddie Ljungberg for their clash against Liverpool at Highbury.

The Gunners were unchanged from the side which beat West Brom last Monday night as they looked to boost their chances of holding on to second place in the Barclays Premiership.

Henry has now missed the last four games and, like Ljungberg, must be considered a real doubt for the FA Cup final against Manchester United on May 21.

Philippe Senderos again kept fit-again Sol Campbell on the bench – a reward for his impressive performances deputising for the England centre-back.

Liverpool arrived in north London knowing a draw or defeat would end their hopes of finishing fourth, which would give them a chance of reaching next season’s Champions League.

Rafa Benitez made one change from the side which reached the Champions League final with victory over Chelsea at Anfield last Tuesday night.

Xabi Alonso, suspended for the second leg of the semi-final, returned in place of Igor Biscan.
