Manchester City have distanced themselves from a £100m (€148m) takeover by one-time Coventry chairman Bryan Richardson and ex-Formula One boss Eddie Jordan.

Manchester City have distanced themselves from a £100m (€148m) takeover by one-time Coventry chairman Bryan Richardson and ex-Formula One boss Eddie Jordan.

Speculation has surfaced that Richardson and Jordan were about to launch a buy-out of the Blues which would provide a £30m (€44m) transfer kitty and see Gordon Strachan appointed as manager.
