Jeffers misses out

Charlton will be without striker Francis Jeffers for tomorrow’s trip to Barclays Premiership champions Chelsea.

Charlton will be without striker Francis Jeffers for tomorrow’s trip to Barclays Premiership champions Chelsea.

Jeffers suffered a shoulder injury during last weekend’s 4-0 defeat by Manchester United at The Valley, so Kevin Lisbie is the most likely to step in and play the lone striker role.

Stephan Andersen looks set to be handed another start in goal as Alan Curbishley seeks to give the young Danish keeper some more experience in the first team but defender Chris Perry is suspended and winger Jerome Thomas has been struggling to shake off a virus and may not feature tomorrow.

Team (from): Kiely, Andersen, Young, Kishishev, Holland, Murphy, El Karkouri, Konchesky, Rommedahl, Johansson, Fortune, Euell, Lisbie, Hughes, Thomas, Fish, Fuller.
