Goalkeeper hit by flare

Crowd trouble reared its ugly head yet again in European competition as Parma goalkeeper Luca Bucci was hit by a flare in the club’s UEFA Cup semi-final second leg clash with CSKA Moscow.

The Italian team were already trailing 1-0 thanks to a goal from CSKA’s Carvalho when the flare thrown from the crowd hit the keeper in the 20th minute of the game.

Bucci suffered a head wound and had to be replaced by Sebastien Frey with his side battling back to overhaul a 1-0 aggregate deficit.
