Massimo Ambrosini’s injury-time header proved decisive as AC Milan overcame brave PSV Eindhoven to set up a Champions League final against Liverpool.

Ambrosini nodded home Kaka’s cross to give Milan the crucial away goal the visitors scarcely deserved.

Earlier a huge upset looked on the cards. PSV led 2-0 thanks to goals from Ji-Sung Park and Phillip Cocu.

Just as the game looked to be heading into extra-time, the decisive goal came.

Kaka crossed in the 91st-minute for Ambrosini to head past Gomes - a crushing blow for a brave PSV side.

Amazingly PSV bounced back, Cocu notching his second of the night a minute later with a stunning volley but it was not enough for PSV.
