Andersen to debut for Charlton
Charlton manager Alan Curbishley handed a surprise debut to Denmark goalkeeper Stephan Andersen for this afternoon’s Barclays Premiership clash with Manchester United at The Valley.
The 24-year-old summer signing from AB Copenhagen replaced Dean Kiely, with Paul Konchesky slotting in at left-back following his return from suspension, as Herman Hreidarsson is out injured for the rest of the season.
Radostin Kishishev moved back to midfield, while Francis Jeffers was the lone striker.
It was also all change for United from the side which beat Newcastle last weekend.
Roy Carroll replaced Tim Howard in goal, Paul Scholes came into midfield, while John O’Shea and Mikael Silvestre started at the back.
