Clapham could return for Birmingham

Birmingham hope to be boosted by the return of left-back Jamie Clapham for tomorrow’s clash with Blackburn at St Andrews.

Clapham was ruled out of last weekend’s 1-1 draw at Everton after having eight stitches in a gashed foot sustained during the 3-0 defeat at Manchester City.

Even if Clapham is fit he may have to settle for a place on the bench with Australia international Stan Lazaridis on alert to continue at left-back.

Manager Steve Bruce is poised to retain the side which started the clash with Everton.
