No FA action over Ewood incident

Blackburn and Crystal Palace will not face any disciplinary action by the Football Association despite an apparent scuffle in the tunnel at Ewood Park.

Blackburn and Crystal Palace will not face any disciplinary action by the Football Association despite an apparent scuffle in the tunnel at Ewood Park.

Robbie Savage was accused of starting the fracas after Blackburn’s 1-0 victory last Wednesday, while other players and coaching staff were said to have been involved.

However, Mark Hughes and Iain Dowie both played down the incident and the FA have now concluded there is insufficient evidence to charge anyone.

Referee Peter Walton reported hearing raised voices in the tunnel area but none of the match officials saw any serious problems and there is no video footage to study.
