Gunners win marred by Henry fears

Arsene Wenger confirmed that Thierry Henry is a doubt for the FA Cup final as he warned Chelsea not to take their Barclays Premiership triumph for granted at Bolton this weekend.

Arsenal’s 1-0 victory at home to Tottenham last night, courtesy of Jose Antonio Reyes’ strike, ensured that the Blues were unable to celebrate their first title for 50 years.

Jose Mourinho’s side will instead have to win at Bolton on Saturday to make sure of success, even though they require just two points from their final four games.

Arsenal’s best chance of silverware is therefore still the FA Cup, with Henry already struggling to be fit for their final encounter with Manchester United due to a groin injury.

Wenger, who was rather more hopeful about Henry’s fitness last Friday, revealed a scan had at least shown no serious long-term problems.

However, when asked if the striker is a doubt for the final, he simply admitted: “Yes.”

Wenger, who is also still without Freddie Ljungberg, added: “Their scans were positive and they have both made progress but they are still in pain.

“They will slowly try to get back to training on Wednesday and see what progress we can make.

"Both are out for next Monday anyway.”
